Frame, cyl., and bbl. feature nicely executed custom aftermarket scrollwork on a punch dot background. Loading gate and rear grip strap exhibit a floral motif. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the hammer which has been re-case colored. Frame is mounted with a sanded and refinished 1-piece plain wood grip. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Bullseye ejector rod head. S# "42389" has been "enhanced" on the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. Bbl. and cyl. are contemporary replacements. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: contemporary wood display case featuring a red cloth lining and 6-rd. cartridge block. Interior of lid exhibits a reproduction Colt SAA label. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing some scattered superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation, with some spots of light pitting present beneath the bluing overall. Hammer retains the majority of its reapplied case colored finish, showing spots of pitting beneath the finish, with losses to the hammer spur's checkering. Bore is bright, exhibiting light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, although the cyl. spins freely at the 2nd click, with the 3rd and 4th clicks not always being distinguishable from one another. Poorly fit grips show some scattered marks and small impressions from handling and storage, with some striations from prior sanding.
