UNUSUAL UNMARKED UNDERHAMMER RING TRIGGER 4MM

Description

PERCUSSION PISTOL. Cal. 4mm. NSN. Bbl. 5 5/8". Unusual 4mm underhammer percussion pistol of unknown origin. Pistol is devoid of any markings, save for "2", with is engraved on the upper tang. 1-piece plain wood stock, with flared schnabel type forearm tip and rounded butt. Dovetailed brass blade front sight and brass V-notch rear sight. Hammer doubles as a trigger guard, enclosing a ring trigger. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a mottled gray patina, showing light to mild pitting, as well as scattered superficial handling marks and impressions overall. Proper manual mechanics. Upper tang is cracked just ahead of the "2". Stock shows scattered handling marks and impressions, with scattered cracks present overall. Butt exhibits a large crack and chip. (01-28010/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
