Bronze depicting a striding wolf captured mid-motion, the head turned and mouth open in a growling expression. The musculature and fur are modeled with strong articulation, conveying tension and movement. Signed on the base.

Artist Bio
Antoine Louis Barye was a French sculptor and a leading figure of the Animaliers, renowned for his powerful representations of animals. Trained as a goldsmith and later active in Paris, he achieved international recognition for works distinguished by anatomical precision, dramatic realism, and expressive force.
