AP Proof Title: Jerusalem Dimension: sheet: 29 1/2 x 42 image: 25 x 35 1/4 He grew up in Harbin ,China which was a unique Russian-Chinese city. He moved to Shanghai to study architecture and took painting classes and later taughty at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts in Shanghai. He emigrated to Israel in 1949 and later traveled to Italy and Paris during the 1950's. In 1960 he had sold out shows at the Rina Gallery in Jerusalem. In 1961 he morved to Paris and continued exhibiting in Paris and Israel. He took part in the 1964 Art Israel Show at the New York Museum of Modern Art. He has exhibited at the Isreal Museum, The Jewish Museum in NY, the Barbican Center in London and the Tel Aviv Museum and in Hong Kong. He painted until a month before he passed aways. His prints and paintings are collected world wide.
