Title: Mwana Pwo mask - Chokwe - Angola

Description: This mask is from the Chokwe people in central Angola, parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
These masks were used during Munkanda initiation sites for young boys who were prepared/trained for the hunt.

The mask is nicely carved and in good condition with its original raphia. Stand not inlcuded. Dimensions: 23 x 15 x 10 cm, 492 gram.
