About the artist: Vasily Korkishko was born in 1961 in the village of Kuntsevo, Poltava region, but has been living in Dnepropetrovsk for many years. After the Kharkov art school in 1985 he graduated from the Kharkov art-industrial institute. 5 years later, after participating in republican and all-Union exhibitions in Kharkov, Kiev, Moscow, Korkishko became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, although this was then approved in Moscow by the Union of Artists of the USSR.
