Post Viking, dating about 1200 AD. Form deriving directly from the earlier heart pendants, pointed oval medially ridged as a heart in its anatomical form. Quartered nubs defining a saltire and identifying with Christianity, but drawing on the quartered and sixth point nubs on the earlier Viking versions. Silvered bronze, professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored. On a modern Sterling silver neck chain, gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
