Excerpted from the album, This catalogue has been printed on the occasion of the artist's exhibition, L'Oiseau solaire, L'Oiseau lunaire, tincelles, at the Pierre Matisse Gallery, 41 East 57th Street, New York, on November 14th 1967.
The edition has been limited to XXV examples on vlin d'Arches la forme signed and numbered I to XXV containing II original engravings and L examples signed and numbered XXVI to LXXV containing one original engraving (triptych).
The cover and the triptych were specially engraved by the artist and pulled on the presses of the studio Arte.
The regular edition printed also on vlin d'Arches is limited to MCC examples numbered I to MCC. The colored pochoirs, including the jacket, the cover and the triptych are by Daniel Jacomet and the typography by Fequet et Baudier.
