Description
Bronze Arhat, before the Ming Dynasty, 18cm in height, 7.5cm in length and 866g in weight, unearthed from the ruins of Buddhist monasteries from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty and later collected privately. Made of bronze with natural red spot and green rust on the surface. Cast by the lost-wax method, the arhat is in a free sitting posture with smooth clothing patterns and a serene expression, reflecting the characteristic of "realistic and vivid" of the statue in the Tang Dynasty. The bronze arhat of the Tang Dynasty from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty (618–1279 AD) is rare in existence, an important relic of Buddhist art, with extremely high religious and artistic values, and is cherished by museums and senior collectors.
