This ELEGANT cotton and wool crazy tied quilt is all hand pieced, with elaborate hand embroidered accents and hatch stitching, and a nice solid red accents. The blocks contain many floral motifs, a cat, goose, squirrel, "Grandma F.," "Grandpa F.," "Mary Hattinger's Quilt," and the date "1927."
It measures a generous 80" X 80" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt is remarkably strong and sturdy... well preserved!
The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are the same beautiful cotton floral print, and the batting is thin.
