Handmade onyx lantern, made in Mexican onyx, and probably began as a candle hurricane. It has now been electrified with a porcelain Edison-size socket. Beautiful banded panels of amber-colored onyx and assembled on top of a stacked base of the onyx matrix. Assembled in connection to the horizontal patterns of the stone. Size 9.75" tall and 7" in diameter of the base. The well is 5" in diameter. Photos show it illuminated in a dark setting. Highly translucent quality stone. Eight sides., and very dramatic when the light is on.
