Very popular in the 18 hundreds and highly collected today this kind of frame often has a religious scene , here we have a crucification scene in a lovely typical black frame with more rare a lovely brass decor all around it that gives to the frame a stunning elegance on top of the wonderful bas relief , always very detailed they are made out of a very fine call that collectors of pipe knows very well , the clay would be place in a hand carver mold in order to obtain the bas relief , this one is in it s original frame and bombe glass , size is 8" H on 5"W .
