Sixteenth Station: Yui. In the title block: "The Satta Pass", that is known for the battle of 1352 where Lord Ashikaga Takauji inflicted a defeat on his brother Tadayoshi. On the left, at the top, travelers admire the scenery of the Sagami Gulf and Mount Fuji covered in snow.
This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: XVII.
Nearly excellent condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, two tiny holes very close to the top corners were smoothed and are barely visible, never framed.
