Forty-Ninth station, Tsuchiyama village. In the title block: "Spring Rain". On the left, trees and houses of the village in the rain. Below, the head of a procession of a daimyo (powerful Japanese magnate, feudal lord) preceded by two halberdiers. The brown and green of the samurai's raincoats contrast with great taste with the blue colors of the torrent.

This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: L.
