This Mid-Century chest of drawers has 3 large drawers in the middle to store large pieces of clothing and also has 3 smaller drawers on each side for socks, underwear or other personal items. All together there are 9 drawers in total. The chest also has the original architectural
brass hardware intact. The all over visual impact of this piece of furniture is stunning. The rings of the brass pulls inside the double sided pyramid are very fashion forward for the 1950s.The graduating slim legs add another visually appealing aspect of the all over design. The patina is within keeping of the age and loving care it has received over the last 75 years, while the black finish shows that it has been refreshed over the years. I found this vintage chest of drawers in an antique store in West Hollywood California in 1999.
