This marvelous pair of 2 Taiwanese/Chinese vintage panels are created in gorgeous hand-carved hardstone and represent the Spring and Summer seasons. Each panel has a black lacquer frame with glass to enclose the carvings. Each carving is trimmed with a red brocade border. The Spring panel has delightful array of icons on a black background including: a large, etched green stone vase with coral stone roses, a green stone incense burner, two stone apricot coins with coral branches, three pink stone flower buds on a green stem and Chinese calligraphy on the left side. The back of this lovely panel has a label that reads: "Blooming flowers smiling at Spring, Made in Taiwan, Republic of China." The Summer panel has beautiful icons on a gold metallic background including: a large, etched green stone vase on a white stone pedestal with coral stone roses, a pink stone buddha on a brown stone stand, a green stone button hook or mushroom with a coral branch and Chinese calligraphy on the left side. There is no label on the Summer panel. Each panel has a gold metal hanger in the form of a medallion. Measurements for these fabulous creations are: Height from top to bottom=30 inches, Width side to side=12-1/2 inches, Depth from front to back=1 inch. This marvelous pair of 2 Chinese three-dimensional carved hardstone panels have been well cared for, gently displayed and are in excellent vintage condition, free from chips, cracks, losses or other imperfections.
