Late 19th / Early 20th Century Thai Travel Trunk

Intricate and colorful village scenes - of royal celebrations market scenes, perhaps to imply this as a dowry trunk. Floral and woven edges and frames.

Octagonal shape with original paintings on each facet and the top, with a beautiful red wash interior.

Iron handles on each side and top center closure, with strong hinges on the top.

Sits on four pillars - each corner is slightly longer than the larger core. A nice construction touch.

Even patina and still very bright - top shows wear but all other panels are excellent.

Green, red, yellow, gold, black, blue...the full spectrum of color is represented here.

Large size - 28.75" wide by 19.75" deep by 21" tall.

Perfect side table / coffee table end of bed chest proportions
