With repeated woodcut printer's devices, large oval woodcut printer's mark at the end of the second part, last intertitle with full-page, framing woodcut printer's mark and 430 text woodcuts.

Wine-red morocco around 1850 with gold-embossed title, blind-embossed back and top fillets, gold-embossed fillets on the standing edges, gold-embossed dentelle border on the inner edges and all-gold edges (signed: "Hardy")

With 430 woodcuts - 192 for the Old Testament, 85 for the New Testament and 153 for the Epistles of the Apostles :
this is one of the most extensive picture Bibles of the 16th century
The edition was shared between the Lyon publishers Barthelemy Honorat and Estienne Michel, and Basile Bouquet was responsible for printing.
The main initiator of the company was probably Honorat, who acquired the woodcuts made for the Giunta heirs from Philippe Tinghi in 1578 and used them for a French folio Bible in the same year.
