Original blind-stamped pigskin wooden boards , repaired, rebacked, modern endpapers, with 2 original intact clasps

- The title frame shows the Trinity at the top, symbols of the evangelists on the left and right, and the apostles in an architectural frame below;
the text woodcuts are partly after JM Bocksberger and Jost Amman.
- The title and the first leaf at the bottom with marginal damage, initially waterstained, in places with minor worm marks in the outer margin, the last leaf with a missing part (no loss of text), some toning
Provenance:
- From the Ranshofen Canonry near Braunau am Inn, with an old ownership note on the title and an entry by the painter Maximilian Liebenwein (1869-1926), who acquired the Bible in 1905, as well as his bookplate.
