Vintage Sterling Enameled Short Saber Letter Opener, 1940's-1950's. this is like the Siam/Niello pieces with the black enameling but the image is a lion at the top of the blade and a collesium style building on top. It is appx. 4.5" long and curved. It has a pointed top with the enameled building and a silver round accent where it then forms into the saver below with the enameled lion with fleur-de-lis. It has engraved initials at the top of the blde that appear to be C S A. It is not marked or signed but tests clearly as sterling with an appx. weight of 16.85 gr. Very good condition other than the oxidation that will polish away. (W3924.1X6 SS13477 J LD 3/17/24).
