Erla Graham (often referred to as Earla Graham) was born on April 4, 1930 and passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
born and raised in Nebraska. Following her family's relocation to Washington, Erla graduated high school in the Yakima area. In 1948. As well as being a full time wife and mother, Erla was able to express her talent as a woodcarver by combining it with her interest, and deep respect for Native Americans, and their culture, by creating her handmade Indian dolls. With the help of her husband, and a lifetime of research, Erla has become nationally recognized as having the ability to "capture the pride that was the essence of the Indians themselves, while also demonstrating the immense differences between tribes
