Description:These are two outstanding larger size sheets of coastal views of Portugal of and by Lisbon -- spanning from north and south side of the River Tagus (Tojo) estuary leading to Lisbon harbor. Each sheet has 5 rows of view. The first view shown includes the north side, today's Lisbon suburbs, notably: Forte da Guia, Farrel da Guia, Cascaes and Convento de S. Antinio do Estoril. The second view shown includes Forte do Junquerio, Torre de S. Juliao, Faz de Tejo (river Tagus or Tejo estuary), Torre do Bugio (fort and lighthouse on the estuary of river Tagus), and Costa de Caparica on the south side of river Tagus entrance to the Atlantic. Inlets, forts, lighthouses, towns, beaches, hills, etc are noted. Rare find as these are not found in previous auction sales, OCLC, in Library of Congress or the European Library.

Very good. Nice strike on slightly toned thicker paper. Few small marginal splits or evidence of handling. Uncolored.
