* Bahman Mohasses (in Persian: ???? ?????; Rasht, Iran March 1, 1931 – Rome, Italy July 28, 2010), known as the "Persian Picasso," was an Iranian painter, sculptor, translator, and theater director. His work includes paintings, sculptures, and collages. He was also a renowned translator of literary works. His pieces are highly collected and extremely rare. It is said that he destroyed many of his own works, and those that are available at auction are now highly sought after.
