A vintage Dresden Plate patchwork quilt. This handmade textile is constructed from cotton fabrics and features a series of Dresden Plate blocks arranged on a white cotton ground. The radiating petals are composed of various scrap fabrics including floral, striped, geometric, and animal prints. The applique elements are attached with a decorative zigzag stitch. The reverse is a solid white cotton.

Measures 84 x 68 inches

The quilt shows fraying along the raw edges of the applique pieces. There is scattered minor discoloration and yellowing to the ground fabric, primarily along the edges. Occasional loose threads and light surface soiling are present, consistent with age and use.
