Title: Original Vintage 1959 ASTA Havana Cuba Travel Agent Poster Linen Backed

Description: The 29th World Travel Congress met in Havana Cuba from October 17-25, 1959. The event occurred months after the successful revolt by Fidel Castro and his followers against the government of Cuban President Fulgenio Batista. The revolution began on July 26, 1953 and ended January 1, 1959. What it must have been like to have a convention months after the war ended!
This original poster advertising the convention is mounted onto conservation linen, measures 19" x 30" and the paper is in excellent condition. Color restoration has been done to the yellow areas of the "hat" of approximately 2" on the top and middle that are very obvious when viewing the poster. The overall condition would be rated an A-. If you are looking for original Cuban memorabilia and don't expect an original paper poster to be in perfect condition, then this poster is waiting for you.
