Description
Longquan slag bucket - This Ming Dynasty Longquan waste bowl (zhadou), paired with a metal lid, features an elegant form: a slightly flared mouth, a tapered neck, full shoulders, a rounded and plump belly, and a low ring foot. The entire piece is covered in a bluish-gray glaze, smooth and lustrous like jade, with a restrained and subtle elegance. The glaze is thinner at the rim and foot, revealing a faint brownish-yellow tone, with natural mottling that enhances its antique charm. The clay body is solid and dense, with traces of "flint red" visible on the exposed foot. With its dignified and graceful shape and serene, refined glaze color, this piece fully embodies the "jade-like" elegance of Longquan ware and the refined style of Ming Dynasty scholar's objects.
