
Description
Yue Kiln Dragon Pattern Basin, with a height of 21.5cm and diameter of 40cm, fired in Yue Kiln kilns in Shangyu, Cixi and other areas of Zhejiang Province, made of celadon body with celadon glaze. Adopting the carving and line engraving techniques, the outer wall is carved with dragon patterns with vigorous and powerful lines, and the inner wall is complemented by water wave patterns, with a warm and jade-like glaze color, being a large piece of Yue Kiln celadon. Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127 AD), Yue Kiln was a core kiln in the "Southern Celadon and Northern White Porcelain" system in ancient China, and celadon of the Northern Song Dynasty Yue Kiln represented the highest level of celadon craftsmanship at that time. This dragon pattern basin has a neat shape and exquisite craftsmanship, serving as an important physical relic for the study of the production scale and decorative style of the Northern Song Dynasty Yue Kiln, with high historical and artistic value.
