Artist:
Pablo Palazuelo was a Spanish painter and sculptor who was regarded as one of the preeminent Spanish artists of the 20th century. He was the recipient of the Kandinsky Prize in 1952, the Carnegie Prize in 1958 and Spain's National Prize for Plastic Arts in 1999, among others. He had an association Galérie Maeght for some fifty years.
The Maeght Gallery was inaugurated with the Henri Matisse exhibition in December 1945 in Paris. From 1946, Bonnard, Braque, Marchand, Rouault, Baya exhibited for the first time at the Parisian gallery.
