A fine early Mexican silver fanned panel collier necklace.
In what we've seen referred to as "Shields and Bead" pattern with shield devices linked with elongated oval links.
Marked to the reverse with a 980 mark for silver fineness and a Taxco mark.
All in all, simply a fine early Mexican necklace!

It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
With some light bends and indentations throughout, notably some of the shield devices have somewhat misshapen tips. Three tips have tears. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine and light dings and indentations, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
