A pair of early 19th-century Regency armchairs, ebonized with gilt stencil decoration. Each features a shaped crest rail above a reeded back, with down-curving outswept arms on turned supports. The caned balloon seats have removeable cushions and rest on ring-turned, tapered legs with flared feet. Elegant and finely detailed, each chair measures 20" wide, 19" deep and 33" high. The seat height with cushion measures 19" high and without cushion is 16 3/4" high.
