Opaline flowers
The 2nd part of the 19th century was marked by the rediscovery of gothic art and architecture. In France, Violet le Duc, was hired by the emperor Napoleon III to restore and often largely reinterpret the French patrimony from the gothic age. Notre Dame de Paris or the city of Carcassone are good examples of his work.
