Alonso Perez (1881-1914) was born in Zaragoza, Spain. It is believed that he received some academic training in addition to the teachings of his father Mariano Alonso Perez, also an artist, who made a name for himself with colorful genre scenes. Alonso Jr moved to Paris, where he worked the rest of his life. His specialty were light-hearted genre scenes with figures often dressed in 18th century fashion
