Description

This collection consists of thirteen pieces of mid-century model railroad ephemera, primarily focusing on the Plasticville, U.S.A. line by Bachmann Bros., Inc. of Philadelphia. Included are eight annual Plasticville catalogs spanning 1956 to 1967, a 1960 HO gauge catalog, and a Bachmann Master Railroader instruction manual. Lionel Trains is represented by a 1954 catalog featuring a dealer stamp from Groff's Hardware in New Holland, Pennsylvania, and a Lionel Trains in Action promotional booklet. These materials document the expansion of the model railroading hobby during the post-war era and feature vibrant mid-century illustrations. Transcribed text includes Plasticville, U.S.A.
