Description

This collection features approximately 50 printed color postcards and two souvenir booklets from the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, primarily published by Dexter Color New York, Inc. The cards depict iconic landmarks including the Unisphere, the United States Pavilion, the Ford Motor Company Pavilion, and the General Motors Futurama. Other featured locations include the New York State Pavilion, the Port of New York Authority Heliport, the US Rubber giant tire Ferris wheel, the Billy Graham Pavilion, and the Coca-Cola Pavilion. These unposted Official World's Fair Post Cards capture the mid-century modern aesthetic and the fair's theme of Peace Through Understanding. The lot also includes specialized booklets for the Illinois Land of Lincoln Pavilion and a set of 12 official views. 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
