Description
Series 1976 U.S. Federal Reserve Two Dollar Note, featuring Thomas Jefferson at center with the green Treasury seal and serial number A12021694A. The reverse depicts John Trumbull's painting of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, a hallmark image reintroduced for the 1976 Bicentennial issue. This particular note exhibits a reverse partial offset printing error, visible where part of the front design has been inadvertently transferred to the back due to a misfeed during the printing process. Such errors are scarce, making this an attractive example for error note collectors. Crisp paper with light handling and bold ink contrast. The offset error is clearly visible on the reverse.
