The heavy curb link chain is fitted with a T-bar, part-brass swivel clasp, and a pierced silver fob medal decorated with a crowned football motif within a laurel wreath.
The reverse of the fob is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1896, maker C.E.S.
(Charles Edwin Solomon), a known 19th-century Birmingham silversmith.
