Rev. Bernard A. Suppe, S.J. was a Jesuit priest and member of the Society of Jesus who served on the faculty of the University of Scranton, a Jesuit institution in Pennsylvania. As part of his academic and pastoral work, he was active in campus religious life and engaged directly with civic and governmental offices—evidenced by his correspondence with the White House during the Kennedy administration. Like many Jesuit educators of the era, Suppe emphasized scholarship, service, and the Jesuit tradition of fostering intellectual and moral leadership.
