Evelyn Lincoln personal handwritten journal measuring approximately 4 x 6.75 inches, containing 30+ pages of period entries dating to the 1940s. The journal is written in ink and pencil throughout and includes daily notes, expense records, dietary plans, posture and physical exercise routines, and personal observations reflecting everyday civilian life during the World War II era.
Entries reference itemized expenses for transportation, meals, coffee, books, stamps, and other daily necessities, offering a revealing snapshot of wartime domestic life. Additional pages include handwritten notes on posture, physical conditioning, dietary habits, and personal discipline, accompanied by simple illustrative sketches. The journal also bears an ownership inscription identifying Harold W. Lincoln, Lincoln's husband.
The notebook exhibits minor age wear. A scarce and intimate document predating Lincoln’s later historical role, offering valuable insight into the formative years of one of the most important behind-the-scenes figures of the Kennedy White House.

Evelyn Lincoln (1916–1995) served as John F. Kennedy’s personal secretary from his Senate years through his presidency and was one of the closest non-family witnesses to Kennedy’s daily life. Present in the White House on November 22, 1963, Lincoln later became a key custodian of Kennedy-related materials and memories, making any early personal document from her life a highly significant artifact of American political history.
