Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. autographed First Day of Issue commemorative cover honoring the Settlement of Nevada 100th Anniversary, postmarked Genoa, Nevada, July 14, 1951. The cacheted cover bears the 3¢ Nevada Centennial postage stamp with matching First Day of Issue cancellation and is boldly signed by Kennedy across the right panel.
The illustrated cachet depicts historic Nevada mining scenes and commemorative imagery marking the centennial of the state’s early settlement. Addressed in type to William R. Davis of Batavia, Illinois.

Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. (1888–1969) was a prominent American businessman, financier, and diplomat who served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1938 to 1940.
