Jack Ruby (1911–1967) was the Dallas nightclub owner who fatally shot Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963, two days after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. His actions, broadcast live on national television, permanently embedded his name in American history and continue to be studied in connection with the events surrounding JFK’s death.
