Fine condition.
James P. Hosty, Jr. (1924–2011) was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation assigned to the Dallas field office in the early 1960s. In the months preceding President Kennedy’s assassination, Hosty was tasked with tracking Lee Harvey Oswald due to his defection to the Soviet Union and pro-Castro activities. Following the assassination, Hosty’s destroyed memo concerning Oswald’s movements became a source of intense controversy and speculation. He later recounted his experiences in his 1996 memoir “Assignment: Oswald,” offering an insider’s view of the FBI’s role in one of the most scrutinized investigations in American history.
