Carlos Bringuier was a Cuban exile activist and a key anti-Castro organizer in New Orleans. He is historically significant for his direct confrontations with Lee Harvey Oswald in the summer of 1963, when Oswald was publicly distributing pro-Castro Fair Play for Cuba Committee literature. Bringuier’s altercations with Oswald—including a street fight and subsequent radio debate—place him among the most important civilian figures connected to the pre-assassination narrative. He later testified to the Warren Commission regarding his encounters with Oswald.
