The verso bears the original period news caption reading, in part: “OFF FOR A SAIL—Democratic presidential nominee Senator John F. Kennedy and wife Jacqueline enjoy a sail aboard the Kennedy family cruiser ‘Marlin’ at Hyannis Port, Mass.” The reverse is date-stamped JUL 20 1960 and includes typical newsroom editorial markings.
