Details:
John F. Kennedy tribute commemorative cover autographed by John Pastore and Ed Hoffman, a documented eyewitness to President Kennedy’s assassination. The cover features a color portrait of Kennedy and is postmarked Dallas, Texas, November 22, 1973, marking the 10th anniversary of the assassination. Affixed is the 13¢ John F. Kennedy commemorative stamp, tying the piece directly to official U.S. postal remembrance.
Both signatures are executed cleanly in blue ink across the right panel, with Pastore adding his title “U.S.S.” beneath his signature. Hoffman’s autograph is especially significant, as he was a deaf-mute witness positioned near the Stemmons Freeway who later testified to observations contradicting the lone-gunman narrative, making his signed material highly sought after by serious Kennedy assassination researchers and collectors.
Fine condition.
John F. Kennedy (1917–1963) served as the 35th President of the United States and was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963, an event that remains one of the most studied moments in American history.
Senator John Pastore (1907–2000) represented Rhode Island in the U.S. Senate from 1950 to 1977 and was a prominent Democratic leader known for his influence on communications and public broadcasting legislation.
Ed Hoffman (1931–2001) was one of the few civilian eyewitnesses to the assassination whose testimony drew significant attention due to his unique vantage point and subsequent statements regarding activity near the grassy knoll. His firsthand observations continue to be cited in assassination scholarship.
A historically layered Kennedy item combining the autograph of a U.S. Senator whom JFK held in great respect with that of a key assassination witness, postmarked in Dallas on the 10th anniversary itself.
