The image captures Kennedy in formal attire, centered among uniformed officers, with the White House visible in the background—an iconic composition emblematic of his role as Commander-in-Chief during the height of the Cold War.
The photograph is an original print by Cecil W. Stoughton, the official White House photographer for the Kennedy administration. The verso bears Stoughton’s credit stamp, “Office of the Military Aide to the President,” along with a handwritten date notation “26-3-63." Printed on Kodak paper.
