Details:
John F. Kennedy Baltimore appearance on October 10, 1962. The image shows Kennedy mid-address, flanked by officials and aides, with the presidential seal prominently displayed on the lectern. This photograph was taken by LIFE Magazine photographer Noel Clark and later published in LIFE on October 16, 1962.
Accompanying the photograph are two original typed White House memoranda documenting the President’s itinerary for the evening of October 10, 1962. The memos detail Kennedy’s helicopter departure from the White House South Grounds to Baltimore, his arrival at Patterson Park Annex, greetings by Maryland officials including Governor Millard J. Tawes, and his appearance at the Fifth Regiment Armory. An additional White House note confirms the photograph’s date and explains the publication timing discrepancy between the event and the magazine issue.
Light age wear including scattered dings and bends.
