Zapruder’s film, consisting of 486 frames, remains the most complete visual record of the assassination and has been studied exhaustively by government investigators, historians, forensic experts, and journalists. Though he never sought public attention, Zapruder was thrust into the national spotlight in the aftermath of the assassination and cooperated fully with authorities.
