Details:
John F. Kennedy original press credential issued for the President’s visit to Dallas on November 22, 1963, the day of his assassination. The printed paper pass reads “President Kennedy’s Visit to Dallas – November 22, 1963 – PRESS” and measures approximately 3.5 x 2.25 inches. It is housed in a clear acrylic holder measuring approximately 5.75 x 3.5 x 1 inch. The reverse of the pass bears the printed number “No. 268,” visible through the holder.
The press pass itself remains in near pristine condition, with clean typography and no visible wear. The acrylic holder shows light surface scuffing and minor handling wear consistent with age.
This scarce press credential was issued to members of the media covering John F. Kennedy’s final trip, culminating in the assassination in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963. Original press passes from this specific event are seldom encountered and represent one of the most direct and evocative artifacts tied to the final hours of Kennedy’s presidency.
A powerful and museum-worthy artifact from one of the most pivotal and tragic days in American history, ideal for advanced Kennedy, assassination-era, or media-history collections.
