John F. Kennedy handwritten note, penned in ink, requesting travel arrangements for himself and Jacqueline Kennedy, reading in full: “Please make reservations for two returning afternoon of Jan 2nd to Washington from West Palm Beach for Jackie + me — J.”
The note measures approximately 6.25 x 6.5 inches and is written in Kennedy’s distinctive hand. The content reflects routine yet intimate presidential logistics, offering a glimpse into Kennedy’s personal travel planning during his presidency. The note displays torn upper and right edges, along with two horizontal fold lines.
Near fine condition.
Accompanying the note is an original letter of authenticity from Joseph Rubinfine, founder of American Historical Autographs and one of the most highly respected dealers in the autograph field. Dated March 28, 1994, the letter documents Rubinfine’s personal examination of the piece and confirms it as a genuine example of President John F. Kennedy’s handwriting in every respect. The note was originally offered by Rubinfine and cataloged as Item #78 in List 122. In 2020, a significant portion of Rubinfine’s inventory was presented in a major multi six-figure American Historical Autographs sale, which included a manuscript fragment of George Washington’s First Inaugural Address, underscoring the long-standing credibility and provenance associated with his material.
