I’ve always been captivated by the bear’s presence—its commanding stature and its role in mythology, folklore, and the natural world. This sculpture reflects my desire to capture the essence of the American wild, emphasizing the bear’s raw power, wisdom, and the deep connection it shares with the land.
The pose I chose for the American bear was inspired by the animal’s natural grace and power, capturing a moment of both alertness and strength. By focusing on this moment of stillness before action, I aimed to convey the majesty and silent dominance that the bear embodies in the wild.
